pgDay Israel is a non-profit event hosted run by the PostgreSQL Israel Community

This event is part of the effort to grow the PostgreSQL community by increasing awareness and providing the appropriate resources to further PostgreSQL adoption

Our special guests and speakers:

Oleg Bartunov - Co-Founder and CEO at Postgres Professional - PostgreSQL vendor in Russia. Oleg has been involved in PostgreSQL development since 1996 (he introduced locale support). He is a PostgreSQL Major Contributor and a member of the PGDG. Oleg's PostgreSQL contributions include the locale support, GiST, GIN and SP-GiST extensibility infrastructures, Full Text Search, KNN, NoSQL features (hstore and jsonb) and several extensions including fuzzy search, support for tree-like structures and arrays.



Ivan Panchenko - Co-Founder and Deputy CEO at Postgres Professional - PostgreSQL vendor in Russia. Since 1996 Ivan works on developing high performance business applications, started using PostgreSQL in 1998. Previously worked as Head of Content Projects development in Rambler Internet Holding, Development Director in Stack Group, Director of Technology in the Moy Mir social network (one of Mail.Ru projects).



Doron Yaary - DBA & Data Integrator Expert at Maor IT Systems, inventor of PGLiveBackup and has hands-on experience with PostgreSQL from 2011. Doron provides managed cloud database servers of PostgreSQL including automated backup/restore and clustering.



Vadim Yatsenko - CTO at Postgres Miktzoanim, Storage Systems Department Director at Progress Software. Vadum's major specialization - high load projects design and development, using PostgreSQL as a primary database. Vadim started using PostgreSQL in 2008.
